The Azerbaijan National Platform was strongly represented at the 15th Annual Assembly of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, with a delegation of 20 representatives.
The assembly brought together over 250 participants from civil society organizations of both the Eastern Partnership and the European Union. The primary focus was on deliberating the future contours of multilateral cooperation within the Eastern Partnership.
During the assembly, meaningful discussions took place among representatives of Eastern Partnership countries, influential decision-makers from the European Union, and civil society representatives. The topics covered were of significant importance to the region.
Participants also critically evaluated the impact of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine on Eastern Partnership policy and the broader region. The assembly provided a platform to explore cooperation between the European Union, its member states, and the governments and societies of the Eastern Partnership, with a specific emphasis on promoting good governance and the rule of law.
Additionally, there were productive discussions on fostering an enabling environment for civil society. The agenda also highlighted the mutual strengthening of the European Union and Eastern Partnership countries in the face of cyber attacks and hybrid threats, emphasizing the need for closer collaboration.
