Goals and objectives of the project:
- Holisitic acvitities to restore the rights of citizens who experienced the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Legal education of citizens who experienced the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic during the organization of protection of their rights;
- Summarize and analyze the problems faced by citizens in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and the steps taken to reduce its negative effects, in particular, social protection measures, supervision over restrictions, drafting a set of recommendations.
Project results:
At the citizen level:
- Ensure the provision of benefits to persons who are mistakenly deprived of social protection as a result of human or systemic factors;
- Exemption from fines of citizens who have been wrongly fined on the basis of a system or human factor, or who have been repeatedly fined for the same violation;
- Raising before the relevant authorities other rights of citizens violated as a result of the restrictions imposed as a result of the pandemic, in some cases ensuring these rights through the courts.
At the level of government agencies:
- Summarize and systematically analyze the problems faced by citizens on the basis of the received appeals and submit them to the relevant agencies;
- Analyze other countries' pandemic measures, both in the field of health and social protection, and prepare proposals for the application of good practices in Azerbaijan;
- Carry out public oversight encouraged by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, revealing errors in the measures taken by the state in the regions and at the level of officials.
