Goals and objectives of the project
Overall goal: Assessment of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy, especially on the agricultural sector

Special purposes:
1)    Assess the impact of quarantine restrictions and isolation measures on employment and incomes in the economy, especially in the agricultural sector;
2)    Assess the effects of quarantine on agricultural supply, supply, sales and value chains in the context of food security and non-oil exports;
3)    Development of policy proposals for the development prospects of the non-oil sector and non-oil exports in the post-pandemic period.
Project results:
-    All aspects of the impact of the pandemic on the agricultural sector (value chains) will be thoroughly and in-depth investigated;
-   The approximate amount of damage caused to agriculture by restrictions during the pandemic will be determined;
-   Policy proposals will be developed to increase state support to the agricultural sector and stimulate non-oil exports in the post-pandemic period;
-   Relevant government agencies will have an alternative assessment document on the impact of the pandemic on the economy, especially on the agricultural sector, and a policy document on solving existing problems;
-  The findings of the study will be made public through the press. There will be opportunities to apply the best practices of foreign countries in Azerbaijan;
-  The positions and proposals of pandemic victims in the agricultural sector will be communicated to the relevant authorities and taken into account in the implementation of public policy.
