Goals and objectives of the project
Overall goal:
- Carrying out activities to solve the natural and anthropogenic factors that cause the drying of the Kura River and the drinking water problems of the population.
Specific goals:
- Carrying out visual monitoring in the middle and lower part of the Kura River, comparative analysis of the previous and current state of the river flow.
- Social situation of the population living in water shortage and ways to solve the problem.
- The threat of a global drinking water problem that the country's population will face in the near future, prevention of water waste, taking urgent measures in this area.
Project results:
The ecological condition of the middle and lower reaches of the Kura River will be determined:
- Local data on waste (if any) and existing changes will be collected;
- Information will be collected on the solution of the population's drinking water problems in the Kura coastal communities after the President's water conference, the effectiveness of the measures taken and the state of implementation;
- A video fill will be made based on the available videos to assess the current situation and bring it to the attention of the general public;
- The film dedicated to the problem will be posted on YouTube and social networks to bring it to the attention of the general public;
- The implemented activities will be evaluated, a package of proposals will be prepared and sent to the relevant government agencies
